Well, all i can say is bolox! while making my blog spam killing software, i accidently told it to delete comments where there was no URL in the comment author URL feild. well, it deleted 178 comments, all of which i can guess where legit comments, and now they are gone! well, bolox! now to get some proper error handeling. sorry if your comment was deleted by mistake.
